Verlag Gebr. Schottstädt is a music publisher for woodwind, founded in 1993 by Rainer Schottstädt, Principal Bassoon of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, and Wolfgang Schottstädt, Cor Anglais of the Orchestra of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden.
Some 200 pieces have been published to date, for oboes and bassoons in particular. These inculde arrangements by Rainer Schottstädt performed for years now by soloists and ensembles known arcross the world, such as Sabine and Wolfgang Meyer Trio di Clarone, Linos Ensemble, Syrinx Quintet, Ensemble Wien-Berlin, Aulos Quintet, Calamus Ensemble, Gürzenich Bassoon Quintett and many others. There are hidden treasures of original woodwind literature no longer available or out of print. Among these are chamber works by Johann Evangelist Brandl, Johann Georg Lickl, Conradin Kreutzer and André Caplet. A number of compositions by young German composers can also be found in our catalogue, witch will be frequently updated with new publications.
The publication list is arranged either under composers or according to instrumentation.
